Autumn nails on a cosy blanket with apples and cinnamon

September Style The MeAmora Way

Well it had to happen. September is on the way and with it, a dramatic change in the fashion and make up looks that accompany this season.

New Season

Thoughts of easing into chunky knits, boots, wraps, scarves, autumnal colours and cosiness start to embrace us all. That’s where MeAmora can help with our Lash Up looks and Nail On colour trends coming into their own, giving you the easiest transition into being bang on trend.

Navy

Navy has already been seen as an emerging trend for 2023 and bang on-trend is our first nail shade 'Rainy Blue'. A dark rich oval shaped blue which heralds the start of the season.

Featuring heavily in fashion updates is all shades of grey morphing into silver and one way to complement grey is to accent it with navy and terracotta colours. It’s a very chic combo.

Browns

Chestnuts, tan and auburns come into their own in the autumn, it’s their seasonal home after all. On the runway at Autumn Fashion Week, every shade of brown came through.

We have two new nails which are made for those colourways. 'Safari' dessert sand with gold accents and 'Savanah' a squoval shaped glorious sienna colour with an accent nail of both bronze glitter and sparkle stones on a painted backdrop

Animal Print

Let’s talk animal print. I mean is it even Autumn without animal print? The ever popular animal accent print has found its home at MeAmora in our latest french tipped manicure. 'Conceited' is great with navy, grey or even true red.

Deep Green

And then there’s green. Where would we be without emerald? One of the most sophisticated colours and perfect for autumn. Our nod to this elegance is Open Arms, a high gloss squoval shape with deep green and accent nail art with swirls and gold accents, truly stunning. You could wear with the browns, the reds, the navies, the reds and the greys or of course green.

September Looks

There seem to be three main trends for dressing in the early autumn. Keeping it Real, Gothic Florals and Tonal Head to Toe.

Keeping It Real is probably the easiest look to achieve and its very much influenced by the air of frugality that we are experiencing right now (as demonstrated below in Ivanka's round up of Vogue 2023 Fall trends). So before you head out to the shops to buy new clobber take a look at what you need for this. Essentially an oversized blazer, a white shirt/tee and some neat but slightly loose fitting jeans ( incidentally the look for jeans is very long in the leg even touching the floor).

This is where your manicure makes all the difference and if you think of your nails as little changeable fashion accessories rather than just a beauty product, you can indulge in all the trends with minimal investment.

Gothic florals is another trend and in this way you can choose your best look. The idea is a deep coloured background be that browns, grey black, navy or green with bold floral patterns. But be brave and bold with your nails colour and maybe pick a colour of one of the florals to really stand out.

Tonal Head to Toe is the expensive look. Simply explained it is the same colour head to toe but in differing shades, so all the browns all the greens and if you are bold all the blacks or navies. If you're going for this look then you could simply match your nails in the same tones as your outfit.
