Woman wearing diamond lases and red nails

Finding Your Red

There’s said to be a red lipstick shade for everyone and I’d argue that the same is true for clothing. Red is unapologetically bright, urgent and attention-seeking, but it is also flattering and It’s rich in fashion cred too, because it’s having a moment that looks set to carry on well into 2024. Throughout history, red has been associated with courage, strength and good fortune. Shrinking violets may need to summon a little courage to add red to their wardrobes – let bags, shoes and scarves be your gateway. But be warned: it can be addictive. There are so many covetable takes on the high street right now, you’ll be a scarlet woman – or man – before you know it. So accent or full on it’s your choice. Here are some ways to wear it.

Clashing colour

You can always play safe with red and mix it up with navy, black, camel, olive and grey, or you can go big or go home and clash it. We love a red sweater with mustard pants or a clashing fuchsia top with a bold red skirt. Silver metallic jeans and an oversized red blazer is one of our favourite looks.

Head to toe

Serious energy created with this look and no shrinking violets in sight, everything is red. A tailored suit will knock 'em dead in the boardroom, long skirt, boots and a slouchy sweater with a tartan scarf and they better watch out. And don’t forget a red lip!

But whatever you do, don’t forget your red nail. Here at MeAmora we have a red nail for everyone.

Now it's entirely up to you which shade you choose. Throw caution to the wind and pick a favouite, but if you need a little helping hand we can guide you to choose the perfect red.
